| Description | The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, a volunteer-based health charity, leads in eliminating heart disease and stroke and reducing their impact through the advancement of research and its application, the promotion of healthy living, and advocacy. Fundraising events/programs include: school programs (Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart); Fit for Heart; Big Bike Ride for Stroke in May; February's Heart Month; Memorial donations. Health promotion includes; community presentations (volunteer speakers bureau); public information forums; health information print materials. | |||
