Description and Service Details
DescriptionMission Statement: To be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life * The Chatham-Kent MS Chapter supports MS patients and contributes funds for MS approved research; It is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors and the main fund raising activities are the annual MS Walk in April and bingos every month * Upon request our Client Services Coordinator will make home visits to give advice and support to the person with MS and family members * Equipment from storage is available on loan * Funding is available for services such as house cleaning * Funding assistance is available for that portion of new equipment not covered by government programs or personal insurance * Horseback riding in the summer is available * Support groups are available in various communities in Chatham-Kent and a caregiver support group is available in Chatham * Education is offered to professional trainees, community agencies or anyone upon request.
