DescriptionProvides the following leisure and recreation opportunities: craft, fitness, sport, aquatic, youth and pre-school program * To promote and further the social, recreational, cultural and sports activities of the community. 1. Recreational Programs include various fitness and aerobic programs, pre-school programs, arts and craft classes, programs for seniors - such as shuffleboard, offer the babysitting course, youth dances for teens and special events such as Fitness week. 2. Summer Activities include a playground program, competitive swim team, swimming instructions for adults and children and public swimming. 3. Provision and maintenance of arena, out-door pool, baseball diamonds and parks. Clinics for referees, umpires and coaches are offered as needed. The arena hosts public skating, parent-tot skating, tournaments, shinny hockey and community events. The arena is not wheelchair accessible, except for the lobby; Youth Centre. Recreation Facilities include: East Kent Memorial Arena Hall 180 Main St E Ridgetown, ON N0P 2C0 519-674-3115-Used for shuffleboard, wedding receptions, banquets, bingo, children's christmas parties, dance, dinner meetings, membership skating party * Ammenities include-Air Conditioning, Bar, Kitchen, PA System, Piano and Stage
