| Description | The Womens Institute at all levels is an organization for personal growth and community action * Have various fundraising events over the area of Chatham-Kent, this year are co-sponsors for Fashions Through The Ages at the Ridgetown Fair * Provide scholarships to Community Living; donate to Chatham-Kent Integrated Children's Services; Farm Safety Days, etc * Requests for finanical assistance are usually received in writing from organizations * Focus this year is the ROSE (Rural Ontario Sharing Education) Program; ROSE is a province-wide initiative of the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario providing members and rural communities with vital health and social service information by increasing awareness of important health and social issues, providing resources for the prevention and treatment of disease and health related problems, enhancing personal skills and knowledge and by improving the status of women and their families | |||
