|Description||Food, Clothing and Furniture assistance to those in need based on financial need, and current situation. At Christmas the program provides food and toys to children |
Budget (Trustee) Management program - assisting clients with financial matters. Service provided free of charge to clients. Waiting list for clients.
Youth Support Program - offering support to youth in all areas (budget management, life skills, housing needs, family support and crisis management. Advocacy and mentoring also available to youth ages 16-21.
Housing support program - provides assistance in matters relating to housing (rental lists, utilities crisis assistance, landlord/tenant.) Winter Warmth and Hydro LEAP program administered through this program.
Winter Warmth and LEAP programs provide financial assistance for families, seniors, terminally ill and disabled who have had or are in danger of having their utilties disconnected. One time payment made per year depending on eligibilty *
If you do not qualify, the caseworker may be able to contact your utility provider on your behalf and work out payment arrangements to avoid disconnection
During the summer months the organization assists with sending children to camp. Day camps located in Chatham as well as residential camps located in Jackson's Point/Huntsville.
Christmas assistance provided with food hampers and toy hampers (children up to age 16). Application required in November at any Salvation Army family services offices. ID, proof of income & expenses required.

Beginning in March 2012, the food banks will be open on the following Tuesday nights 4 pm - 7 pm.
The Ridgetown office (18 Main Street) will be open on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday.
The Wallaceburg office (600 Lowe Ave) will be open the 2nd and 4th Tuesday.
And the Chatham office (42 Harvey Street) will be open every Tuesday.
