| Description | Blenheim Community Village is located in a quiet residential section of a small village. The Home is surrounded by gardens, trees and spacious grounds that provides residents and families the experience of outdoor country living. The home is a one floor design and offers Retirement and Long Term Care supportive services to our community. Private, semi-private accommodation is available in both sectors with ward accommodation in Long Term Care. An experience Food Service Manager and a Registered Dietitian monitor all meals, snacks and therapeutic diets that are prepared on site. Registered staff 24/7 Respite care is available to provide primary care giver relief and supportive services for residents discharged from hospital but not ready to return home. The buildng is compliant with all Fire and Safety regulations including a sprinkler system throughout the building The Home is Accredited through Accreditation Canada and is licensed under the Retirement Home Regulatory Association; we are a member of ORCA. Other services: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapist, interdenominational church services, Chaplain, hairdressing, foot care, oxygen therapy, mobile x-ray, laboratory services, Medical Director and Attending Physician, art and music therapy; central dining for each sector and many other amenities Daily housekeeping and laundry Air conditioning in corridors TV and telephone hook ups Our activation department provides daily programs, evening and week end events such as: annual camping and fishing events, summer campfires, group and 1:1 activities, movies, theme meals and holiday celebrations,local libray visits, pet therapy, helping hands, mens breakfast, cooking, fund raising events, intergenerational program and community outings. Resident and Family council offers residents and families as well as the Home a communication tool to address resident/family satisfaction, and or suggestions for improvements that would enhance their quality of life. The Home actively supports continuing education in the community through clinical placements from secondary schools and community colleges. We are fortunate and proud of our dedicated community volunteers. | |||
| Hours | Business hours are 8 - 4 Nursing staff is available 24 hours a day in person or by telephone to answer any questions or concerns. Visitation is unlimited. | |||
| Eligibility | For Long Term Care Accommodation requires application process to be completed through the Erie St Clair CCAC. For Retirement a meeting is scheduled with family member and or client and the resident co ordinator to complete the care needs assessment. | |||
