Description	Monthly retirement pension available at 65 years or between 60 and 64 years if earning requirements met during initial qualifying period * disability benefits if under 65, plus allowance for dependent children * survivor benefit * orphan's benefit for dependent children * also death benefit, lump sum payment to estate, or persons responsible for funeral costs * pension credits earned by either spouse during legal or common law marriage, same-sex or opposite-sex may be divided equally, credit splitting on termination of marriage or after separation for one year
