Additional Service Details

• Transportation - provided by the Adult Day Program
  
• Nutrition - light refreshments in the morning * lunch or dinner * special dietary needs accommodated (diabetic, minced and personal preferences when necessary)
  
• Mobility Assistance - staff are trained in transfers * facilities are accessible * clients with canes, walker, wheelchairs and other mobility issues accommodated
  
• Incontinence - provides support to clients with bladder and bowel incontinence * clients encouraged to wear briefs or pads to support bladder and bowel control (clients are responsible to bring own incontinence products) * a spare change of clothing to be stored in the program
  
• Medication Management and Medical Care - staff are able to assist clients with medications required
  
• Overnight Respite - available once a week for clients in Elgin County
  
• Expanded Hours - 9am-3pm for the day program, 1-7pm for the afternoon program
  
• Wandering/Exit Seeking - the program is a secure unit
  
• Specialization - offers both frail and demential specific programs * bathing program available for ADP clients and members of the community
  
• Other Limits of Care - clients are ineligible if:
• they are medically unstable
• they have responsive behaviours (verbally or physically aggressive toward other clients or staff)
