DescriptionTechnology and Computer Assisted Learning courses to help individuals gain life skills and/or prepare for employment

Employment Resource Centre - Trained staff assist individuals in researching employment and training opportunities including the job application process * service is free to anyone who is unemployed or underemployed, and includes help creating resumes and writing cover letters, Internet access, a telephone and a fax machine

Braille Translation - Offers conversion of text to Braille services

Computer Self Study - Develops keyboard skills, upgrades literacy and familiarizes with current business software

General Educational Development - Assists adults with learning disabilities who are having difficulties preparing for the GED test

Introduction to Computers/Computer Skills - General introduction to computers and word processing

Learning Disabilities Assessment Services - Provides psychological assessments (if needed), educational prescriptions and literacy upgrading for adults with learning disabilities

Ontario Employment Assistance Services OEAS - Employment services to unemployed people * may include labour market information, employment needs assessment, career planning, employment counselling, diagnostic assessment, job search skills, job finding clubs, job placement services, developing an employment action plan, referral to appropriate intervention and participant case management and follow-up

Outreach Program - Computer training, literacy and numeracy instruction, access device training, train-the-trainer and employment readiness and maintenance in cooperation with other service providers * available to clients or service providers

Skills for Employment - Program designed to assist participants in their active job search through the development and maintenance of employment specific skills

Technology and Computer Assisted Learning - Assistive technology and computer assisted learning to prepare adults with disabilities for employment, further education or to improve quality of life * assessment, referral, placement and pre-employment support * academic upgrading and pre-post secondary preparation services * consultations to individuals and employers regarding access technology

Workshops for Employers - Covers literacy issues, access technology, sensitivity training, commercial software adaptations

Youth Employment Strategy - Combines 5 weeks paid skills training with 10 weeks paid employment placement work placement to assist the lives of youth with learning and employment barriers
