DescriptionHealth centre providing family medical care and community-based health programs * team of family doctors, nurse practitioners and other health care providers * referral to other regional health services

Culturally appropriate programs and services for Aboriginals, combining traditional health and Western medical practices * aims to improve the social supports and conditions that affect long-term health

Health education - Provides variety of health education programs that focus on community needs * available for one-to-one discussions or groups

Immunization - Available by appointment or drop-in for regular immunization by Community Health Nurse * influenza clinics available

School Health Services - Community Health Nurse and Community Health Representatives make regular visits to Wiiji Nimbawiyaag Elementary School, Chippewa Daycare and Chippewa Headstart Program * health education * immunizations * pediculosis checks bi-monthly

Home and Community Care - Health services provided in a home or community setting for older adults, persons with disabilities, or injured persons * includes nursing care, personal support, foot care available first Wednesday of the month 1pm-3pm * appointment required, homemaking, meal preparation, and respite care

Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure Screening Clinics - Screening of blood sugar, blood pressure and weight checks during special clinic days and drop-in

Environmental Health Program - Public health safety and education * monitors potential hazards through Rabies Clinics, Water Sampling, Home Assessments, Carbon Monoxide

National Native Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program - Prevention, intervention, and follow up services for people with addictions * counselling offered for depression, grief and loss * appointment required

Non-Insured Health Benefits for Clients - Supplementary health benefits, including prescriptions and non-prescription drugs, medical equipment and supplies for registered Indians in Canada

Canada’s Prenatal Nutrition Program - Educational classes related to pregnancy and nutrition * prenatal classes for both mothers and fathers

Loan Cupboard Medical Supplies and Equipment - Provides a variety of medical equipment for community members to borrow including crutches, bath chairs and wheelchairs
