DescriptionHelps individuals find sustainable employment * assessment of skills, capabilities, interests and experience * job search strategies, resume preparation * interview skills * information about different careers and occupations, the local labour market, employment and training opportunities * support in maintaining employment * guidance in navigating Employment Ontario programs and services, Second Careers * provide access to a variety of programs for students, youth and adults including incentives to hire and support for apprenticeships * assist in providing information and referrals to other community support services

Incorporates services previously provided through Job Connect, Employment Assistance Services (EAS), Employment Resource Centres and other programs * Summer Jobs Service program remains separate for the time being

Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW) for those 50 to 64 years who are unemployed and lack skills needed to find a new job * broad range of training and supports * assists in finding new jobs by matching skills and experience with the needs of local employers wanting to hire

EligibilityTargeted Initiative for Older Workers - 55 to 64 years (or 65 and older if all criteria are met) who are laid off (out of work or working less than an average of 20 hours per week), are legally entitled to work in Canada, and lack skills needed to find a new job
