| Description | Provides assessment of skills, capabilities, interests and experience to help job seekers Job search strategies including: Most services are available in group or one-to-one settings * special supports designed for persons with disabilities, entrepreneurs, those without recent work experience and mature workers * services for Ontario Works and ODSP participants and job seekers with disabilities Employment Resource Centre (ERC) - Access to employment resources including personal voice mail, Internet access, computer software, local telephone and fax service, library of reference books, local newspapers and one to one assistance for all job seekers Employer Services - Assists employers with recruitment needs * temporary and contract services * work experience hosting positions * advice regarding workplace accommodations and recruiting and retaining employees * assessment and return to work programs for workers with disabilities and injuries * training services for employees: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Expert Customer Service and Cash Training SEED (Self-Employment & Entrepreneurship Development) - Provides counselling and business advisory supports to potential entrepreneurs with disabilities * partnership program between Goodwill and the London Small Business Centre Microloan/Matched Savings Program - Provides an opportunity for low income youth and newcomers with barriers to savings and credit and opportunity to launch or expand a business through small business financing * Matched Savings program provides low income families an opportunity to have their personal savings matched to save for their children's education Ontario Employment Services - Adelaide St - Provides assessment of skills, capabilities, interests and experience to help job seekers Ontario Employment Services - Horton St - Helps Ontarians find sustainable employment SEED (Self-Employment and Entrepreneurship Development) - Ontario Employment Assistance Services(EAS): Employment assessment and counselling for persons returning to work * barriers to employment explored and action plan developed and implemented * job search support * referral to appropriate employment service or vocational training program including Employment Ontario-funded programs such as Job Creation Partnerships, Self-Employment Benefit, Skills Development, and Targeted Wage Subsidy | |||
