| Description | Offers information, referral and counselling to offenders, individuals at risk of offending and family members of both groups * assistance with pardon applications * work boots available * referrals and vouchers for clothing and household items * walk-in crisis assistance * individual and family counselling referral available Community Education - Works closely with other community groups to educate and involve more people in understanding social justice issues * offers information and workshops about the criminal justice system and its impact on society * provides speakers to schools, churches and community organizations on various topics Bail Verification and Supervision - Offers an alternative to incarceration for individuals while waiting for court deposition Boullee, Huron and Kipps Lane Project - Offers individual counselling and groups for children, youth and families who reside in three subsidized housing projects Children's Groups - A group for girls and a group for boys living in subsidized housing projects Counselling Services - By using social work principles and practices this program assists ex-offenders in re-integrating back into the community Direct Accountability Programming Options - Program is an alternative to prosecution for eligible adults 18 years and older who have been charged with minor criminal offences Institutional Service - Program where weekly visits to the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre and the Stratford Jail are made to provide counselling and support and to help prisoners plan for services they may require upon release Kingston Trips - Provides opportunities for family members of incarcerated individuals to visit Kingston area institutions Middlesex County Youth Outreach - Registered social worker visits schools in Northwest Middlesex County and receives referrals of high-risk youth for counselling Native Services - Delivers culturally relevant probation and parole for adult and youth aboriginal offenders Record Suspension/Pardon Clinics - Offers assistance in completing criminal record pardon applications Women's Groups - Weekly support group for women who have a loved one involved in the criminal justice system Youth Community Support - Case management services to youth leaving the emergency shelter system offers support in maintaining safe, affordable housing | |||
