Teen Annex - Drop-in centre for youth at Central Library * music, art, games, homework stations and workshops

London Life Community Access Centre - An adaptive technology learning lab that can assist people who are blind, deaf, have a learning disability or have low vision or other physical disabilities * software includes screen readers, voice-activated dictation, scan and reading software, screen magnifiers and a Braille translator

Communication Boards - Allow individuals with limited communication abilities to point to alphabet, word or picture boards to communicate to library staff * available at all London library locations

Services in French - Collection of French books, videos and magazines * internet station programmed in French with a French keyboard (Central Library) * Francais a la Bibliotheque

Services and Collections for Newcomers
  • Library Settlement Workers - Speak a variety of languages and help newcomers find info and help in London * 4 locations: Beacock, Central, Jalna and Sherwood
  • Language Learning Lab (Central Library) - Rosetta Stone program, which helps newcomers learn English through the use of pictures, etc.
  • Foreign language books and movies


  • Sifton Family Health and Wellness Centre - Provides up-to-date health information in print, A/V and digital formats. eBooks and electronic databases including "Gale Health and Wellness" are available on-line with a library card and can be accessed remotely.
