Description and Service Details
DescriptionHelps Ontarians find sustainable employment * assessment of skills, capabilities, interests and experience * job search strategies, including resume preparation * information about different careers and occupations, the local labour market, employment and training opportunities * on-the-job training and/or work experience and, in some cases, additional support to help maintain employment * information and referrals to all Employment Ontario Funded Programs including Second Career Program for laid-off workers and the Ontario Self Employment Benefit Program (OESB), which offers income and entrepreneurial support during the process of developing and launching a business * information about, and referral to, other community services and supports

Youth Employment Fund - a $195 million initiative to provide 25,000 youth in all regions of the province with an entry point to long term employment through job placements that offer the chance to learn work skills while earning income. The fund will be delivered through the existing Employment Service (ES).

Youth Employment Fund - Youth 15 to 29 years who are residents of Ontario, unemployed and not participating in full time education or training can access assisted services * additional tools and supports for short term training and employment preparation may be available to youth identified by employers

Assisted Services (such as supported job search, job matching and placement, job retention services): people who are unemployed and out of school
Employers can get help in identifying their human resource skill requirements, matching of position/workplace needs to participants' skills, capabilities, interests and experience and support for developing on-the-job training plans and monitoring of placements to support success and retention
