| Description | Medical research program * main goal is stroke prevention through the study of new blood pressure medications, cholesterol lowering agents, Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)/Stroke, and genetic factors that contribute to the hardening of the arteries SPARC helps patients with premature atherosclerosis and family members by identifying known causes of premature atherosclerosis and starting treatment * those interested in volunteering for research as a patient with premature atherosclerosis or family member should email the SPARC program at: sparc@robarts.ca Affiliated with London Health Sciences Centre | |||

| Eligibility | Volunteers 18-80 years with high blood pressure, high cholesterol or premature hardening of the arteries and/or family history of premature hardening of the arteries | |||
