DescriptionThrough event management, awards programs, leadership and personal development opportunities, clubs enable members and volunteers to help others, address needs in their local community and develop transferable skills such as leadership, event management, volunteer coordination and public speaking. 
 
Some ways in which the organization helps the community nationally are: 
* Disaster Relief 
* Providing finanacial contributions to the community (building parks,sponsoring sports teams, helping individuals in need) 
* Supports Cystic Fibrosis National Charity 
* Supports Canadian Forces 
* Operates Telemiracle Foundation for those with special needs requiring medical assistance 
* Organ Donar Awarness 
* $1000 Bursaries to students who are in pursuit of a post-secondary education
EligibilityApplicants to the Kin Canada Bursaries: 
* Must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants 
* Must be full-time highschool students or currently registered at a post-secondary institution 
* Will be evaluated on their community and school involvement, knowledge of Kin Canada and financial need

Must complete the current application form and submit it to the Kinsmen, Kinette or Kin Club closest to their permanent residence by February 1. Bursary winners are notified before June 30 by their sponsoring club

* For the bursary, visit www.bursary.ca and print an application 
* Funding requests need to go through the local club as the national offices do not have funding budgets. Each club has it's own criteria for assessing and granting funding
