| Description | This local group is affiliated with Master Gardeners of Ontario Inc (MGOI) is a non-profit volunteer organization with charitable status with groups in many areas across the province of Ontario. The purpose of the organization is to educate its members, enabling them to provide gardening/horticultural information to the public. Individuals may be accepted into the program with an eligibility test, registration in Master Gardener course program, and an annual membership fee. Individuals with educational qualifications and/or exceptional horticultural knowledge may be exempted from taking the MG educational courses after completing an exemption exam. Twenty volunteer hours are required each year. Members are accepted year round. | |||
