| Description | Description Life skill training * guidance to develop women’s economic independence through education and support groups * support counseling for economic, social and family issues * basic computer skills * resume/cover letter * pre-employment skills * job search techniques * interview techniques * assertiveness training * stress management * housing issues * women’s health and safety * introductions to the Internet and e-mail * communication skills * basic referrals Type of Programming: Emotional/behavioural; Anger management; Blended Families; Life Skills; Domestic Violence issues. Program Specifics: Programs offered monthly Free child minding for clients in program Outcome Based Information: Clients re-entering program - less 5% Conduct outcome based evaluations Offer bridging services Privacy/Client confidentiality requirements # Staff: 4 Staff qualifications: Instructors-BSS; Counsellor 4th yr BSW from University of Windsor Health: 3rd yr Nursing from University of Windsor Referral process: referral by phone with limited paperwork due to confidentiality/sensitivity of cases No after hours #'s provided Beliefs/Mission: Guidance to develop women's economic independence through education and support for women economic idependence and their families that will enhance self confidence and feeling of worthy of themselves. | |||
