| Description | Helps Ontarians find sustainable employment * assessment of skills, capabilities, interests and experience * job search strategies, including resume preparation * information about different careers and occupations, the local labour market, employment and training opportunities * on-the-job training and/or work experience and, in some cases, additional support to help maintain employment * information about all Employment Ontario programs and services * access to Second Career program to provide laid-off workers with skills training for high-demand occupations * information about, and referral to, other community services and supports8 various workshops supporting job search skills* programs and workshops to enhance computer skills* onsiter resource center with fully equipped computers (typing softwear, resume builder, career cruising) Incorporates services previously provided through Employment Assistance Services (EAS), Employment Resource Centres and other programs * Summer Jobs Service program remains separate for the time being | |||

| Eligibility | Self-service information and resources -- Available to anyone, including people with jobs, those who are under-employed, people looking for work, students, apprentices, internationally trained individuals, employers Assisted services - Staff support when engaging in employment activities such as job searching, job matching and placement, job retention services -- available to people who are unemployed and out of school Employers can get help in identifying their human resource skill requirements, matching of position/workplace needs to participants’ skills, capabilities, interests and experience, and support for developing on-the-job training plans and monitoring of placements to support success and retention | |||
