DescriptionOnsite Nurse Practitioner Clinic is available 5 days a week * at our East-end site. However, the Nurse Practitioner Clinic will also be at the Main Site at certain times.

The Nurse Practitioners have the authority to * diagnose and treat common illnesses * prescribe certain medications * order certain laboratory and diagnostic tests * can perform physical check-ups and annual exams * provide health promotion and prevention education to individuals and families * make referrals to family physicians, specialists, and other health care professionals * can see any client of the Multicultural Council who does not have a family doctor, regardless of age or gender

The Multicultural Council is the lead organization of a partnership group called Community Partners for Multicultural Health * Locally, the Community Partners work to improve access to health service for newcomers and immigrants living in Windsor-Essex County using a variety of methods with the support of various funding partners
