Healthy child development promotion program for new and expectant mothers * prenatal and postnatal screening services * developmental screening for early identification assessment for families and children * home visiting by Public Health Nurses and Family Home Visitors * problem solving techniques * child health and development * safe proofing a child's environment * positive parenting * information and referral for community breastfeeding resources and support

Nurse Practitioner
Health services program for expectant mothers and children * prenatal and postnatal clinic * preconception planning and care * initial prenatal care with transfer of care to an obstetrician or midwife for ongoing care * postpartum care for Mom and new baby * birth control counselling * ultrasounds or X-rays can be ordered * diagnoses of common illnesses * prescriptions * growth and development screenings for infants and children under the age of 6 * Well-baby and Well-child checkups * assessment, diagnosis and treatment of common health conditions such as ear Infections; referrals to medical specialists for more complex health concerns * immunization * referrals to community programs and services
HoursHealthy Babies Healthy Children (HBHC) Program: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Nurse Practitioner: Mon-Thu 8:30 am-4:30 pm * Fri 8:30 am-12 noon
EligibilityHBHC Program: Ages: 6 year(s) and under, Children birth to 6 yrs and their parents/caregivers and prenatal families

Nurse Practitioner: Ages: 6 year(s) and under, and women with no family doctor, who are planning a pregnancy, are pregnant, and for women after they have a baby; Mothers and children birth to 6 yrs
ApplicationHBHC Program: Assessment required or referrals received from hospitals, physicians, public health workers, community agencies and self referral

Nurse Practitioner: Assessment required, call or walk-in
