| Description (Service) | The Domestic Violence Program provides: medical treatment and emotional support to the victim of domestic violence * documentation of medical findings such as physical injuries * photographic documentation of injuries in the event the victim chooses to take legal action * risk assessment and safety planning * referral to community agencies including the Women's Centre and counselling services * follow-up by the domestic violence coordinator to help victims with any problems or concerns The Sexual Assault Program provides: care and treatment to female, male and children of any age * medical treatment and emotional support for the victim of sexual assault * collecting and recording evidence of the assault * testing, information and counselling for pregnancy * testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections * follow-up medical care and referral to community agencies |
