| Description (Service) | To develop professional working relationships among social, philanthropic and charitable agencies serving the community and their constituencies; to develop and deploy community resources for human service needs aimed at the most urgent needs of the community; to assess such needs and assist in the development of solutions and programs to address these needs and to do so in a co-operative manner. This organization may extend its activities to include the co-ordination of appeals for special and local projects and for national and international relief and service agencies. Major services: Fundraising, fund distribution, marketing community development (including such programs as: Operation Cover-up; BackPacks for Kids Program; Bushels of Hope Campaign; Red Feather Weekend; and Labour Services [Union Counselling] ). |
