Description and Service Details
Description (Service) A service club serving the Chatham area. The Kiwanis motto is "serving the children of the world" and thus the club mainly supports projects that focus on children and youth. Men and women interested in serving our community in this way are invited to join. The group also focuses on learning more about this area including charities, businesses and health concerns by intviting speakers to speak at meetings. To access funding applicants must submit a letter of request and then it will be reviewed * The club's signature project is the Chatham Kiwanis Music Festival. Past supported projects include CKHA; Chatham-Kent Community Living; Children's Hospital of Western Ontario;Kingston Park Playground, YMCA Strong Kids, Children's Water Festival, Reading Buddies at the library and in schools as well as Sleeping Children around the World., The Kiwanis International Eliminate Project to eliminate maternal neonatal tetanus in 39 countries where it is endemic has been strongly supported by the club.
Hours Morning meetings 9:30 am-11 am * Dinner meetings 5:30 pm
Meetings First Wednesday of each month an evening dinner meeting from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Active Lifestyle Centre, 20 Merritt Ave, Chatham. (social hour at 5:30 pm)  
Morning meetings are held on Thursday mornings for the rest of each month at Holy Trinity/St. Paul's Anglican Church Hall,81 Selkirk St., Chatham (coffee and conversation at 9 a.m.  
During July and August, two meetings or social events per month are held on Thursdays.
