Description and Service Details
Description (Service) The Chatham-Kent Senior Games Association offers 35 to 40 events that are hosted across the Municipality throughout the year. These included most types of card games, (duplicate and contract bridge, echure , bid euchre, 6 handed pepper ) ,cribbage, scrabble, crokinole, shuffleboard, 5 and 10 pin bowling, carpet bowling , lawn bowling, prediction sports ( walking, nordic walking, swimming, skating, triathlon), pickleball,golf, tennis, table tennis, badminton, hockey, curling, volleyball, slopitch, pool (9 ball), horseshoes, cycling, and bocce. Winners of these events qualify to go on to Regional and Provincial events for the respective spring and fall games.
Dates Each year District 55+ Summer Games are held between April and June, to qualify for Regional games in odd numbered years and Provincial games during even numbered years. During October and November each year District 55+ Winter Games are held. Qualifying events are held during even numbered years for Provincial games that take place in odd numbered years.
Meetings The Chatham-Kent Senior Games Committee meets 6 to 7 times per year. This committee is represented by 11 senior centres across Chatham-Kent plus members representing the various events that we offer and host throughout the year. We are always looking for new and creative ways to reach out to 55+ adults in our community.

Application A schedule for Spring and Fall games are released in late January and late August respectively each year. Schedules and instructions for registering are available at all Senior Centres in Chatham-Kent . Fees Event fees vary depending on the event. The OSGA annual membership fee (April 1 to March 31 membership year ) is $8.00 this fee entitles participants to participate in all 35-40 events that are offered throughout the year. A nominal fee of $3.00 / event is the typical fee for each event with lunch offered at some events if the event starts in the morning.
