Description (Service) Adult Day Program for adults living with the effects of an acquired brain injury(ABI)

Clients and staff work together to build a sense of community and identify enjoyable, meaningful activities that provide clients with the opportunity to continue their recovery and improve their personal wellness

Clients set goals that will assist them to improve their skills in activities of daily living, interpersonal skills, and personal independence

Personal care supports are provided to Clients of Gateway to Connections (assistance with feeding, toileting, and transferring) * Respite for caregivers, whom are provided with opportunities to learn effective strategies that will be of assistance in supporting their loved one, as well as coping strategies for themselves
Hours Adult Day Program: Mon-Fri 10am-4pm * Administration: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 
Be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant at least 18 years of age and have an acquired brain injury, including traumatic brain injury, infection, anoxia, aneurysm, tumor and stroke * must have valid Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) card * must have free will commitment to rehabilitation and/or participation in Dale Brain Injury Services programs * serious medical issues must be stabilized

Fees sliding scale for people with motor vehicle insurance settlements with maximum of $150/day or $80/half day
