Food safety:
  • Food safety for operators of food premises
  • Responding to food premises complaints
  • DineSafe program (inspection summaries)
  • Food safety at special events, schools, farmers markets
  • Food safety laws (regulations, guidelines)
  • Foodborne illnesses (causes, signs, symptoms)
  • Safe food handling
  • Food Handler Certification

Environmental health hazards
  • Responding to housing and health hazard complaints (mould, air quality, pests, contaminants)
  • Weather alerts and warnings (heat, cold, extreme events)
  • Special risk and vulnerable citizens (squalor, hoarding, poor living conditions)
  • Group home and migrant farm inspections
