Description (Service) Medical research program * main goal is stroke prevention through the study of new blood pressure medications, cholesterol lowering agents, Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)/Stroke, and genetic factors that contribute to the hardening of the arteries

SPARC helps patients with atherosclerosis and family members by identifying known causes of premature atherosclerosis and starting treatment * those interested in volunteering for research as a patient with premature atherosclerosis or family member should email the SPARC program
