Description (Service) Adult and continuing education centre

Secondary school credit programs (Grade 9 to 12) for adults, continuing education and summer school for all students * day and correspondences/self-study courses * full or part time continuous entry courses * diploma and certificate programs * educational counselling to registrants * volunteer tutors available * limited child care services

English as a Second Language (ESL) - 519-452-2660 ext 69715 - General and specialty classes:

Alternative Education programs throughout the city of London, Elgin, Middlesex and Oxford counties for youth in Grades 7-12

Adult High School Diploma Program - Courses designed for adult learners who want to complete a secondary school diploma, upgrade marks for postsecondary admission, achieve Level 1 Apprenticeship trade or move into gainful employment * academic and technical education programs

Gateway to Learning (Upgrading) - Small upgrading classes for adults who have been out of school for a number of year and are unsure of their skill level * assessment and upgrading of basic reading, writing and math skills * introduction to computers * assessment of progress and regular reports * referrals to other programs as needed * non-credit

Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program - Co-operative education program which includes 382 hours of classroom theory and 314 hours of on-the-job training in agencies that employ PSWs
