Description (Service) | Children's Aid Services has many services to offer. These include: * Child and Family Services * Family Violence Counseling Program * Foster Care Program * Intake and Investigation * Men Accepting Responsibility to Change Program * Partner Assault Program Adoption Program In need of adoptive homes for children in our care and children in care across the province * people interested in exploring adoption are encouraged to contact the Adoption Worker with the Society * information sessions are offered throughout the year, at least twice * the P.R.I.D.E. training program (Parent Resources for Information, Development and Education) is offered to inform and educate prospective parents on the challenges and rewards of this lifelong commitment Family Court Support Worker Program Information on the family court process * assistance in preparing for family court proceedings (documenting history of abuse, accessing Legal Aid) * referral to specialized services and supports in the community * safety planning * court accompaniment to proceedings when appropriate. |
