| Description (Service) | Harrington Pond and Conservation Area has been a favourite fishing and picnic area for generations * in the last few years steps have been taken to stabilize the pond from erosion, restore the Harrington Mill, naturalize a large part of the grounds * Harrington Conservation Area is Day-Use Only * currently a 1.5 km bird watching and nature trail has been established around the pond * a grist mill dating back to the 1800's is being restored at the site and is available for tours with prior contact. There is an annual Harrington Grist Mill open house on Harrington Heritage Day, second Saturday in August. |
