| Description (Service) |
Aims to help stroke and acquired brain injury survivors return to a full productive life by means of encouragement, example and friendly contact. Encourages rehabilitation by providing emotional support to both survivor and family. Major programs include: support groups (for family and people who have suffered from an ABI or stroke); socialization; hospital visiting; weekly swim and exercise therapy programs, and arts & crafts. There is no fee to become a member, and a medical referral's not required. Lunch is provided daily for members, if desired, for a nominal fee. |
