| Description (Service) | Supervises clients 18 years of age or older who have been placed on probation by the courts or granted parole from a correctional facility. * Prepares pre-sentence and pre-parole reports for the courts and for correctional decision-makers * Undertakes supervision of probationers and parolees in the community * Provides or refers clients for employment, drug or alcohol counselling * Offers rehabilitative programming, including anger management and substance abuse. Develops programs and alternatives to incarceration so that offenders can be held responsible for their actions through community service orders and the paying of restitution * Provides specialized counselling to Native offenders, both in the urban and Reserve setting * Supervises conditional sentences. |
