| Description (Service) | Community-based services * Referrals to Food Assistance in the Community and visits to those in need * Help with furniture (including new mattresses - as available), clothing and household items with vouchers through our resale stores * will deliver to those unable to pick up the Food Assistance themselves * Summer camp operation and sponsorship for needy children * Visits and friendship to the incarcerated * Visits to shut ins and the sick in their homes or in hospital * Car donation program with free towing if needed * Tax Receipts: Tax receipts are issued for monetary gifts of $20 or more. Tax receipts may also be issued for some gifts in kind. * Accepts Holiday Food Donations also during the holidays Vouchers * It all starts with a home visit. * A member of SSVP, a “Vincentian,” will visit a client at their home to establish a relationship and discuss any needs he or she may have * Where possible and when appropriate, a voucher is issued for goods in kind. * if a client needs a winter coat, they are issued a voucher for Society Shoppe, which is accepted tender at Society Shoppe stores How to Donate/Support, Bin Locations and Pick up of Larger Items: Click Here for Details |
