DescriptionEmergency Crisis Assessment 
 
* A social worker is available to the hospital emergency room at Windsor Regional Hospital- Metropolitan Campus  
* The social worker provides assessment of children and youth who present in crisis. (i.e., who are at significant immediate risk of harm to self or others)  
* Dispositions are completed in consultation with the emergency room Doctor and may involve admission to a mental health bed or pediatrics  
* The social worker has access to a child psychiatrist through phone consultation to determine the best course of intervention for the child and family.
