|Description (Agency)||As of 2019, the WECCC movement includes nearly 1500 individuals and 50+ organizations working together to improve quality of life for residents across Windsor and Essex County. This includes community groups , health service providers across all sectors, the education sector and individuals who simply want to make a difference. We have a research team comprised of researchers from the University of Windsor, Ottawa, London, Toronto and Hamilton.
Our priorities include:
Working across community to address loneliness and isolation through building resilient neighbourhoods
Connecting our most vulnerable with community – including people who are homeless or living with low income who are dealing with health or life challenges
Building a community system to support people and caregivers dealing with serious illness, death, dying, loss and bereavement
Making it normal to talk about future wishes and advanced care planning
