Description and Service Details
Service/Program Description* Help for seniors and retirees to increase their sense of security by expanding their knowledge of how to protect themselves in the community (available on request) 
FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION: do not open your door to strangers after dark  
* if a canvasser or salesperson comes to your door, avoid allowing him or her into the house  
* report suspicious offers to the police immediately  
* bring in your mail everyday, cheques or parcels may be stolen from your mailbox  
* install good locks on doors and windows 
* if on vacation, do not leave any obvious signs that you are away  
* have a friend or neighbour pick up your mail everyday  
* stop your newspaper delivery  
* attach a timer to inside and outside lights
