Description and Service Details
Description (Service) * Subsidized accommodations for clients who have a serious and persistent mental illness who may be homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness and are involved with case management services  
* program works with private market landlords in the community acting in a liaison capacity to assist with providing access to safe, affordable and stable housing for consumers who are receiving community support services. 
Program includes: 
* Safe affordable access to housing 
* Community based private market housing 
* Search for affordable housing 
* Landlord/tenant resolution and tenancy support 
* Supports to maintain housing in the community 
Short-Term Crisis Safe Beds Program 
Eligibility Criteria 
Aylmer Safe Beds Residential is a voluntary program. Individuals must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible for the program:  
1. 16 years of age or older  
2. Currently experiencing homelessness  
3. Individuals experiencing a mental health and/or addiction crisis 
4. Individuals who have direct contact with police 
5. Individuals who are able to be safely supported in the community (no severe medical conditions and/or suicidal with a plan)  
6. Not at risk of harming themselves or others

Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up 
Individuals with a mental illness living in Windsor and Essex County over the age of 16 who are involved in intensive case management with CMHA and/or other appropriate mental health services

Languages English ; Interpretive Services - French and others upon request and as available.
Fees Program - fees variable, rent is subsidized ; Fee assistance available.
