Description and Service Details
Description (Service) The Community Crisis Centre is a partnership of area hospitals and social organizations committed to providing 24-hour crisis response services to residents of Windsor and Essex County who are experiencing serious mental illness and/or acute psychosocial problems. 
Professional crisis workers provide immediate risk assessment, stabilization, safety planning, crisis follow-up and referral services through: 
* 24 hour Crisis Telephone Line  
* 24 hour Walk-in Service, Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus Emergency Department 
* Walk-in Service, Community Crisis Centre, Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus Jeanne Mance Building, 1st Floor, Mon-Fri, during business hours 
* Mobile Crisis Response 
* Suicide Prevention and Education Program through Alive! Canada 
* WPS Community Outreach & Support Team (C.O.A.S.T. - partnership with Windsor Police Services) 
* OPP Mental Health Response Unit (M.H.R.U. - partnership with Ontario Provincial Police) 
Situations may include; 
* substance abuse  
* feelings of intense sadness or depression  
* sleeping or eating problems  
* anxiety  
* thoughts of suicide or self harm  
* severe distress related to relationship issues  
* family problems  
* grief  
* job loss  
* financial problems  
* anger  
* aggression  
* symptoms of mental illness and more
Hours Walk-in Service Crisis Service: Mon-Fri, 9 am-5 pm 
Crisis Line: Mon-Sun, 24 Hrs 
Mobile Crisis Response: Mon-Sat 12 noon-8 pm 
WPS Community Outreach & Support Team (C.O.A.S.T. - partnership with Windsor Police Services), Mon-Fri, 8 am-10 pm 
OPP Mental Health Response Unit (M.H.R.U. - partnership with Ontario Provincial Police), Mon-Thu, 8 am-6 pm.
